*There will be no Level 1 exam.

Examination fee (tax included)

Level 2: 9,900 yen
Level 3: 7,480 yen

Level of questions Passing criteria

Pass the Level 2 test with 70% or more correct answers (however, you must get 50% or more correct answers in each of the eight areas)
For example, if you get 0 points in only one category, "Traditional Colors and Patterns," and full marks in the other seven categories, your overall correct answer rate will be about 90%, but you will still fail.

Examination process [Level 2 and 3]

  • New Candidate Registration (Create a New Account)

    If you are taking the CBT test for the first time, please register as a new test taker, register your user information, and obtain your ID and password.

    *Even if you only want to take the course, you will need to register as a new candidate.

  • Log in to My Page

    Log in to your My Page using the ID and password you registered in ①.

  • Fill in the application details

    Please select your desired exam level, exam date, exam location, payment method, etc.

  • Confirmation of application details

    Please check that there are no errors in your application.

    If you wish to confirm, change or cancel your scheduled exam, you can do so from My Page.

    *Cancellation is not possible within 3 days of the scheduled test date.

  • Send application details

    If there are no errors in the application details, please press the submit button. After submitting, your application will be completed.

  • Exam

    On the day of the exam, please come to the venue you registered for between 30 minutes and 5 minutes before the start of the exam. You will need to show identification (*) at that time, so please do not forget to bring it with you.

    (*)Identification documents are used to verify that the test taker is the person who applied. For details on the documents you should bring, please see "What identification documents should I bring?"​

    *No examination ticket will be sent. When you complete your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email with information about the exam date and venue, as well as important points to note, so please be sure to check it.

  • Announcement of the Results

    ・You can check your Level 3 and Level 2 exam results immediately after completing the exam.

    ・After the exam, a "Exam Result Report" will be distributed at the venue.

    Those who pass the exam will be mailed a certificate in February 2025.
