(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is recruiting “Special Members" from prefectures, cities, towns, and villages, as well as local government-related organizations. in Japan.

Special Members are local governments that can support the certification exam Tradional japanese Culture Test (DENKEN-TEST), and will work together to disseminate information on traditional crafts designated by the prefectures. There is no joining fee, and the annual membership fee is 120,000 yen (excluding tax) for prefectures and 60,000 yen (excluding tax) for other local governments and local government-related organizations.

DENKEN-TEST has eight categories of study and questions: “Ceramics and Glass", “Washi and Dyeing", “Metalwork and Lacquerwork", “Traditional Colors and Patterns", “Gardens, Architecture and Art", “Tea Ceremony, Japanese Sweets and Japanese Tea", “Food Culture and Seasonal Almanac", and "Performing Arts (Kabuki)."
