Our association recognizes the importance of protecting personal information in an advanced information and communication society, and in order to prevent the rights and interests of individuals from being harmed due to inappropriate handling, we have established the “Basic Policy on Personal Information Protection" as follows. I will comply.

Additionally, specific personal information including personal numbers (My Numbers) will be handled appropriately in compliance with the “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify Specific Individuals in Administrative Procedures”.

3.Basic policy regarding protection of personal information (including specific personal information)

  1. We will comply with laws and regulations regarding personal information.
  2. Personal information will be acquired by appropriate means after clarifying the purpose of use.

  5. As a safety management measure for personal information, we will develop systems and take security measures to prevent and correct risks such as leakage, loss, and falsification of personal information.
  6. In order to ensure the safe management of personal information, we will appropriately supervise the secretariat staff involved in the operation of our association, and provide necessary education and training.
  7. When entrusting the handling of personal information, we will select a party that meets appropriate protection standards and provide appropriate supervision to ensure safe management.
  8. Personal information will not be provided to third parties without the consent of the individual, except for joint use, provision to subcontractors, or other cases permitted by law. Specific personal information will not be provided to third parties, regardless of the consent of the individual, unless permitted by law.
  9. If you are requested to disclose, correct, add, or delete your personal information, we will respond promptly and appropriately within a reasonable range after confirming your identity.
  10. The contents of the personal information protection policy may be changed in connection with changes to our association's operations and various services, or revisions to laws, etc. In that case, we will notify you on our association website and post the latest principles. If there is an important change in the handling of personal information, it will be determined by a resolution of the Board of Directors based on the Articles of Incorporation.

The purpose of use of personal information announced in advance by our association is as follows. In addition, we may separately notify you or make a public announcement.

  2. Production, shipping and distribution of educational materials and statistical materials and other publications (including electronic data and fax)
  3. Planning, guidance, and distribution of videos such as courses on the website
  4. Various communications, inquiries, and service information for test takers, course participants, instructors, etc.
  5. Confirmation of billing and payment of examination fees and course tuition fees, etc.
  6. Management of certificate issuance, etc. and operation of award programs
  7. Implementation of questionnaire surveys to improve services, collection of marketing data, development and operation of systems, etc.
  8. Information and management of events, seminars, products, etc. related to Japanese traditional culture and traditional industries.
  9. Guidance and operation of various services to achieve all business objectives incidental to the preceding items.
  10. Management of our association's members, officers and employees, etc.

5. Entrustment of handling of personal information

Our association outsources some of the operations necessary to achieve our objectives to our subcontractors. In line with this, we have outsourced some of the handling of personal information acquired by our association. When outsourcing, we will appropriately manage the outsourcing company based on our association's “Basic Policy on the Protection of Personal Information (Including Specific Personal Information)”.

6.About joint use of personal information

Our association may jointly use the acquired personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use.In that case, we will announce or individually notify the person responsible for the management of personal information items to be shared, scope of joint users, purpose of joint use, and personal information.

7. Procedures such as disclosure of retained personal data

According to the Personal Information Protection Act, those who wish to disclose personal data held by our company should contact the “Personal Information Inquiry Counter" below.
