The Foundation aims to disseminate knowledge about Japan's traditional culture and traditional industries and to educate consumers both in Japan and overseas in order to ensure their inheritance and development, to contribute to the promotion of lifelong learning, the revitalization of local communities, and the promotion of understanding towards Japan. In order to achieve these aims, the Foundation carries out the following activities:
